Ileana D’Cruz has returned to acting with Do Aur Do Pyaar. The film which explores relationships and infidelity also features Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
The actress who recently gave birth to her first child, Koa Phoenix Dolan, has been away from the limelight for a while. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Ileana opened up about her partner Michael Dolan, referring to him as her “husband”. Sharing how the meaning of love has changed for her, she said, “People say, ‘If you can’t love yourself, how do you expect somebody to love you?’ And I used to believe that for a while but I feel like I am still working on self-love myself. Having somebody love me the way I have been loved by my husband is something that weirdly gets me to love myself more. My perspective on love has definitely changed.”
She further added, “I have been fortunate that I have a lovely partner. It’s almost like fairy tale love in a way where sometimes you don’t believe that someone can love the worst parts of you. But Mike has seen the worst parts of me as well and he still loves me a lot.”
Ileana D’Cruz announced her pregnancy in April last year. She welcomed her first child in August this year. While she has been tight-lipped about her private life, she has also been sharing glimpses of her family life on social media.
