As the country is in election mode these days, all sorts of things are surfacing on the internet and it is getting difficult to sort the truth from the plethora of fake news. This news comes days after Sanjay Dutt released a clarifying statement about him not joining or being associated with a political party.
Recently, a video of Aamir Khan went viral on social media where he is seen promoting a particular political party. However, the actor has clarified that the video is fake and all the claims in it are untrue. The actor released a statement through his official spokesperson and said, “We want to clarify that Mr. Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career. He has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through Election Commission public awareness campaigns for many past elections. We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party. He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue. He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police. Mr. Khan would like to urge all Indians to come out and vote and be an active part of our electoral process.”
On the professional front, Aamir Khan was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha and will be returning to the screens with an interesting line up of films including Sitaare Zameen Par.
