Monica Raymund and showrunner Rebecca Perry Cutter have had a great run with their gritty crime show Hightown and fans are eager to know what twists and turns lie ahead in their compelling storyline. They recently had an exclusive conversation with ETimes where they discussed their journey on the show and more.
On being asked about what advice they would give to two of India’s top actresses, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt on how to kill it in a crime drama and keep the audience hooked, they shared, ” I think what’s so appealing about a crime drama, is we get to live something that’s hopefully not at all like our real lives. Hopefully, we live very safe lives and we get to watch these crazy things happening. “
“So, I think the actor’s job often is to ground the show. You know, there might be all these crazy twists and turns, but the actors bring humanity to it, which is really how the audience relates. So, always to let the humanity shine amidst the plot.”
India has had quite a few interesting series and films in the said genre and this has only gotten fans more eager.
